Terms of use
Plain terms for a small site. Using olively.io means accepting them.
Who you are dealing with
This site is operated by Olively Kft., a company registered in Hungary. Full registered details are on the imprint page.
Using the site
Read it, quote it, send it to colleagues. What you may not do:
- Republish substantial parts of the writing as your own
- Scrape it at a volume that degrades the service for anyone else
- Attempt to break, probe or gain unauthorised access to any part of it
- Use it to do anything unlawful
What the writing is and is not
Everything published here is general commentary, not advice. The articles describe how particular decisions were approached in particular circumstances. Your circumstances are not those circumstances.
This matters most where the writing touches regulation. Anything said about the EU AI Act, data protection, or compliance obligations is a description of how the rules are generally understood, not a legal opinion, and must not be relied on as one. If you have a compliance question, ask a lawyer.
Figures quoted from my own work — the forty assessed use cases, the roughly one in ten that were not AI — describe what happened in one organisation. They are offered as evidence of method, not as a benchmark that will hold anywhere else.
Who owns what
The writing, diagrams and design on this site belong to Olively Kft., except where stated otherwise. Screenshots of other companies' products appear as illustration of the principles being discussed; those products and their trade marks belong to their owners, and their appearance here implies no endorsement in either direction.
You may quote a reasonable extract with attribution and a link back. You may not reproduce a whole article, or use this material to train a commercial model, without asking first. Asking is usually enough: hello@olively.io.
Links to other places
Where this site links elsewhere, those pages are not under our control and their content is their own responsibility. A link is a pointer, not a recommendation.
Liability
The site is provided as it is. We keep it accurate and available, but do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or current at any given moment.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Olively Kft. is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, or lost business arising from your use of this site or from decisions taken on the basis of anything published here.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else Hungarian law places beyond the reach of an exclusion clause. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Paid work is governed by the contract for that work, not by this page. Where the two conflict, the contract wins.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Hungarian law, and the Hungarian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU, this does not deprive you of the protection of your own country's mandatory consumer law, or of your right to bring proceedings there.
Contacting us directly at hello@olively.io is invariably faster than any formal route. If that fails, the conciliation body named on the imprint handles consumer disputes.
Changes
These terms can change. The date at the top says when they last did. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the current version.
